The Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa, unites and empowers consecrated women from diverse religious congregations.
During the implementation of its 2011 –2016 Strategic plan, ACWECA Leadership and Administration noted that the Sisters in the Region still need more support especially in promoting effective Leadership in the Region, National Associations and in the Institutes.
Through the the project dubbed the Sisters Blended Value Project, (SBVP), ACWECA presents to Women Religious Institutes an opportunity of learning social entrepreneurship that will transform sisters’ current social ministries that charity driven into social enterprises.
Strengthening the Capacity of Religious women in Early Childhood Development, Family and Children Programme is a project that promotes holistic development of children. The first phase of the project ran from 2014 to September 2017.
The Justice and Peace for Integrity of Creation Program is a comprehensive initiative dedicated to promoting social justice, peacebuilding, and environmental stewardship within the region.
